Friday was warm, no actually quite warm 96 degrees, in the Willamette Valley. A perfect day to take a ride to Brigadoon Wine Company about a 30 minute drive South of Corvallis. We were met by Chris Shown, owner of Brigadoon Wine Company, with a smile on his face and a warm greeting. After some conversation about the hot weather we tasted some of Brigadoon's Pinot Blanc chilled just right.
On a warm summer day this Pinot Blanc was refreshing, just a bit tart with citrus and floral bouquet. Just the right balance mild and light to the nose with a smooth finish on the palate. A quality wine at a reasonable price $17.
I would purchase another bottle of Brigadoon Pinot Blanc and would recommend this wine with some cheese and crackers along with some fresh fruit or perhaps with a nice piece of Salmon. I rate this wine an "A".
