This bottle of Bridgeview Chardonnay, Vintage 2009, was purchased at Fred Meyer in Corvallis. Since it was on sale for under $8 I decided to go ahead and try this Chardonnay against my better judgment. Approximately a year ago I bought a bottle of Bridgeview Pinot Noir and was very disappointed.
Well, we typically attend an outdoor music concert on Tuesday evenings and decided to bring along this Chardonnay to have with our picnic supper. Regrettably there is nothing positive I can say about the experience with Bridgeview Chardonnay. This wine is a lightweight when compared to some very good Chardonnay's such as Tyee Wine Cellars, Namaste Vineyards and or Eola Hills Reserve Chardonnay.
Bridgeview is at best equivalent to Charles Shaw Chardonnay for $2.49 which one can purchase at Trader Joe's. Bridegview Chardonnay is rather bland. Nothing specific comes to mind that would compel me to purchase another bottle.
Therefore I rate this wine as "D", poor! Purchase the Charles Shaw instead if you want to have a $2.49 wine that will not be a budget buster. Do not pay more for a bottle of Bridgeview and be disappointed!
