Today I had the opportunity to enjoy a glass of Trinity Oaks California Pinot Noir. This wine would be "adequate" as part of a picnic lunch or day at the seashore. Trinity Oaks is inexpensive which is probably a plus given the state of the economy. For less than $6 any bottle of wine is reasonable. The bouget is a bit too fruity. When compared to most any Oregon Pinot Noir this wine is no match. However, the cost is about 25% of what a good bottle of Oregon Pinot Noir would cost. If budget is the most important factor then give this pinot noir a try. If you care to spend an additional $10 then move up to something like Eola Hills or Willamette Valley Pinot Noir. I give Trinity Oaks Pinot Noir a grade of "C". Let me know what you think.............
