The PGA Tour season is winding down with most of the big names in Golf, Woods and Mickelson, taking some time off. This is the opportunity for those second tier players "on the bubble" in danger of losing their tour cards to win a tournament without Tiger & Phil to contend with. The Valero Texas Open in San Antonio, Texas is a prime opportunity for someone like a John Daly, Justin Leonard or Corey Pavin to get a win. The purse is not at the seven million dollar level, but four and a half million is not chicken feed. The avid golf fan can see the Valero Texas Open on the Golf Channel Thursday thru Sunday. If you have not noticed, the PGA Tour has over eighty players winning a million dollars for the year. Not to shabby for having fun with Golf.
