Oregon's jobless rate has risen to 9.9% as Oregon's economy continues to suffer. Nearly 215,000 Oregonians were unemployed in January, the largest number since World War ll. From December 2007 to December 2008 Oregon's unemployment rose 3 percentage points, the fastest 12 month rise in nearly 30 years.
