Today, September 2, 2007, on Meet The Press, Tim Russert, Moderator, had a "Round Table " discussion with, Mary Matalin & Mike Murphy, Republican Strategists, & Bob Shrum And George Carville, Democrat counterparts.

Of course, the conversation was focused on the many candidates seeking their respective parties (Republican & Democrat) nomination for President. I am constantly amused by the "outrage" that each of the "Talking Heads" exhibit in this type of Television forum. Behind the bluster, from Messrs. George Carville, Mike Murphy et. al. , I can envision this same entourage, "yucking it up", at the next "Cocktail" Party in Washington D.C. The reality that is not always evident is that each of these pundits needs the other to ensure that there will be a regular funneling of hot information for the next "round table" on the next, Meet The Press, Face The Nation etc.

Anyway, I heard nothing new or interesting, Hillary cannot make any mistakes, Obama must demonstrate "wisdom" to make up for his "lack of experience" and well, Edwards wife, Elizabeth Edwards gets as much Press coverage as does John Edwards.

Giuliani leads in National Polls, Romney is Mr. Perfect, never a hair out of place, this makes me worry, Fred Thompson waiting in the wings to announce.

Well, nothing is even close to being decided. I do not see any candidate, from either party, that makes this writer feel as if we have a (Baseball term) (.300 hitter ). What this Meet The Press demonstrated to me and maybe to some other saavy viewers, is that this show filled the Sunday of Labor Day Weekend. Leno and Letterman do a better job in the evening.

I hope to hear your thoughts on this posting. Can anyone seriously think that there was anything remotely serious that should be gleaned from this weeks Meet The Press?
