Corvallis has experienced three days of 100 plus degree temperatures this week. Monday was 104 degrees, Tuesday 108 degrees and Wednesday 102 degrees. Today, Thursday July 30, temperatures may reach 100 degrees for a fourth day this month of July. The weather will begin moderating by Friday with highs to reach only about 95 degrees. When 95 degrees sounds like a good deal you know it has been hot! The best place to be today is at the coast. If that is not an option then you may want to go to a movie, the library or maybe to an air conditioned store. Anyway, drink plenty of water and stay in the shade. We should be thankful that we are not in Phoenix, Arizona. They have had 100 degree days for the past 40 consecutive days!
