Corvallistidbits went Blueberry picking on Sunday, July 20 at Anderson's Blueberry Farm approximately seven miles North of downtown Corvallis, Oregon on Highway 99. The berries are plentiful and very reasonably priced. If you "pick-em" the price is $1.25 per pound. This is a great way to get some sun, exercise and take the family out for a drive. Blueberries are chock full of anti-oxidants, probably the most healthy of berries. We were not alone as there were probably 20 other vehicles in the parking lot, but once you walked out into the blueberry patch it seemed to me that you were all alone. The hours of operation are 8am-6:30pm Monday-Saturday and 9-5pm on Sunday. Give it a try and let me know if you enjoyed the outing. By the way the "homemade" blueberry pie was just delicious!
