Group bike rides are a fun and empowering experience! Meet at the location nearest you:

* Benton County Fairgrounds
* Chintimini Park/Senior Center
* Osborn Aquatic Center
* Cheldelin Middle School
* Hoover Elementary School
Bike safety checks will be offered prior to the ride, and group leaders will take the group on a designated route leading to the Car Free Day Festival at Riverfront Park.
1 pm to 4 pm – Car Free Day Festival: A Family Friendly Event
The festival at Riverfront Park (1st Street, between Monroe and Jackson) will feature food, music, games, exhibits, and a bike parade. A Bike Swap Meet, organized by the Corvallis Bicycle Collective, will provide an opportunity to donate, consign, and purchase bikes.
The goal of Car Free Day in Corvallis is to create a positive experience so community members will consider exploring transportation options on a regular basis. Organizers of Car Free Day in Corvallis are encouraging everyone to get ready for the day by deciding how they will travel on September 22nd.
Those who are planning to bicycle but haven’t done so for awhile may want to consider a bike tune-up at one of Corvallis’s many bicycle shops. Those who are unable to walk or bike can still participate by sharing a ride with a friend, hiring the local pedicab, or calling Dial-a-Bus.
Sponsors of Car Free Day in Corvallis include the Corvallis Sustainability Coalition, City of Corvallis, Cascades West Rideshare, Corvallis Bicycle Collective, Corvallis Clinic, Corvallis Farmers’ Market, Cycle Solutions, First Alternative Natural Foods Co-op, First United Methodist Church Natural Step Ministry, Footwise, Good Samaritan Regional Medical Center, Oregon State University, Peak Sports, Play It Again Sports, Republic Services, Safe Routes to School, SoupCycle, and 350 Corvallis.
