Content Organization

The category system is fundamental to the structure of Christonium. A user can create any creative category-structure under which to organize collections of text, images, videos and documents. Categories function as holders of content and define each desktop’s focus and direction, since a category describes what it contains. Each public item on Christonium is a floating piece of material that you can easily move between your different categories and subcategories, as well as share with other users, which means that others can actually organize your items under their own categories on their desktops on Christonium.

There is really no limit to the amount and the depth of categories someone can create. This allow users to fully catalogue and sort their content extensively, and also presents the possibility to focus on different areas of interests and not only one subject, since it’s easy to divide and organize vastly different types of information.

Each category on Christonium can be set to either public or private. If private is chosen, then only users you grant access can see your items under that category. So in other words, it’s possible to place public content as well as private content on your desktop under different categories and set exactly who can see what.
