I picked this up as part of a Tommyknocker sample 12-pack.  Since it is getting tough for me to find new beers to try, I was happy to grab this as I have never seen this brewer before.

Alpine Glacier poured golden with a crazy white head that head great retention.  (Warning - pour this slow.)

Its aroma was malty with a lot of yeasty bread notes.

The flavor was very clean and refreshing.  It was malty and was surprised to find subtle banana notes.  If I did not know better I would have thought it was a watered down wheat beer. It finished tangy with a light bitterness.

When it warmed up, spice notes developed such as coriander and a touch of clove which reinforced my thoughts this was like a wheat beer.

This was a very light body beer with a lot of carbonation.

Overall I thought this was a great clean, fresh lager and something I would grab again.

"Beer is living proof that God loves us and wants us to be happy."

-- Benjamin Franklin

The Beer Prayer
Our lager,
Which art in barrels,
Hallowed be thy drink.
They will be drunk,
At home as in the tavern.
Give us this day our foam head,
And forgive us our spillages,
As we forgive those who spill against us.
And lead us not to incarceration,
But deliver us from hangovers.
For thine is the beer,
The bitter and the lager,
Forever and ever.
Amen
