I found this to be a very nice drink. I will go as far to say it was probably one of the best US oatmeal stouts I have had and very similar to the UK variety.
Poured a rich coffee color with a thick whipped cream head. The aroma was all about coffee with faint floral notes. I found that to be nice. The taste was fairly typical of the style. There were a lot of chocolate and coffee notes from the dark roasted ingredients. But the finish was where this beer stood out with the right amount of sour-bitterness. The mouth feel was perfect as it was almost buttery with just the right amount of carbonation (lower side). Saranac's Oatmeal Stout was a first class beer.
