I was disappointed with this stout and just did not like it, as it tasted "burnt". The Cream Stout poured dark as mud with a short-lived head. I could not detect much of an aroma. As for the flavor, all I could taste was burnt malts. Actually I found this to taste like liquid smoke or a cigarette. There was some sourness with the finish mixed in with the same soapy hop flavor as their Boston Lager. The carbonation was middle of the road with a watery mouth feel. I expected better from Sam.
