Every country has their #1 Birra and Peroni is it for Italy. This is a very simple, light beer along the lines of a Heineken, Hollandia and Bavaria. Here is a review I found online I thought was funny and appropriate: "The green bottle that Nastro Azzurro arrives in showcases a beer so light in color that one could read the newspaper through it. Upon opening, the brew belches forth the skunky smell of lager made from turd. Just putrid, like a water treatment plant or an algae basin." This beer is not that bad as I did not mind it and found it enjoyable in an everyday cheap beer sort of way i.e. Hollandia and Bavaria. Let's be real. Peroni is Italy's Miller High Life. It is what it is and it just ain't bad as an everyday beer.
