This beer was a mystery to me as I am not sure if I really liked. This was definitely not my favorite Magic Hat offering. I just thought the other beers that I have had from them had more character. The Mystery beer seems to me to be a straightforward wheat beer. I was surprised that it poured a deep cloudy amber. The amber color is just not traditional for the wheats that I am accustomed to. There was banana and lots of yeast like notes in the aroma, which made me think this is a wheat. To me even the flavor was that of a wheat. There are also some spice flavors such as coriander, nutmeg that made me think of a Belgian beer. Jinx, Circus Boy and #9 are very nice beers. This was just a step removed from the others. Don't get me wrong as this is in no way a bad beer, just not what I was expecting from Magic Hat.
