I had picked up Harpoons Sumer Vacation sample pack.  Included was their Summer ale, which was a lighter body golden beer.  I found this was a very nice light, crisp beer and approriate for the season.

The beer poured a light straw color (clear) with a nice had that had fairly good lacing and retention.

The hops drive the aroma but I could also detect some light yeast and malt notes.

The hops also drive the most of the flavors in this beer. The flavor reminded me of Sam Adams lager as the beer finished with what I describe as a soapy-floral aftertaste from the hops. I could also taste some fruitiness and maybe just a bit of spice.

The hops must be of a similar variety used by Sam as they are very flavorful, but add little bitterness to the drink.

Overall this is a very enjoyable light beer.
