Cheap and good and I liked this.

Guess what? After doing some internet browsing I learned High Falls Brewing Company is the parent company of Genesee and they just happen to brew the J.W. Dundee's lineup of beers.

And the price is just right as I picked this up for about $12 for a 30 pack.

Don't get me wrong, this is not a pretentious craft beer or a UK classic- this is a good ole' American beer. This is mowing the lawn or hitting 9 holes beer as it is light, has good flavor and does not fill you up.

After pouring this into a frozen mug the beer was golden and produced a thick, rich, white head. Right then and there I knew this was a good beer.

I found the taste to be alcohol, little citrus (tangy) and honey sweet malts - in that order. And, it works. This beer is light in flavor and has all but no after taste.

There was also a good amount of carbonation that enhanced the flavor and smell of the grains and alcohol.

The beer was on the watery side but there was a bit of creaminess to the texture.

And, I must add that there was some tin like flavors, which I assume is from the can. I suspect in a bottle this is better and more expensive.

One caveat - this beer is good for the price and style, but I would not compare this to the J.W. Dundee beers. Remember this is 30 cans for around 12 bucks. Bottled water is not that cheap!
