I found this amber ale fairly typical at first. There was plenty of that dry - carmel flavor you come to expect from an amber. I think where this example stands out is in their useage of hops. Upfront I found this beer typical but the finish was very nice. There was a good hop bitterness at the end that I thought was different and contrasted well with the sweeter hits of malt. I have been plesantly impressed with all the beers from Flying Dog and this one as with the others I would try again.
