This is Brooklyn's tribute to the 1955 World Series champs - the Brooklyn Dodgers.

Although, when I think of baseball, I think of cheap, light, barley flavored water and Brooklyn's Pennant Ale is just not it.

This ale is not what I think of when I think of baseball and beer as this is just too heavy and flavorful of a drink.

Moving beyond the label, this is a great balanced ale as one would expect from Brooklyn.

The beer pours amber with a powdered milk or light malt candy aroma.

There is a hint of sweet caramel that is sort of balanced by a tartness.

Carbonation is excellent and helps add some body to the beers lighter consistency.

This may not be my sort of beer to have during a ball game but after, you bet.

"Beer is living proof that God loves us and wants us to be happy."

-- Benjamin Franklin

The Beer Prayer
Our lager,
Which art in barrels,
Hallowed be thy drink.
They will be drunk,
At home as in the tavern.
Give us this day our foam head,
And forgive us our spillages,
As we forgive those who spill against us.
And lead us not to incarceration,
But deliver us from hangovers.
For thine is the beer,
The bitter and the lager,
Forever and ever.
Amen
