Opening in 1987, Brooklyn Brewery is one of the best beer makers in the US and I have yet to have a questionable beer from them. Their amber lager is no exception. The beer pours a muddy "amber" color with a loose big bubble head. As for the aroma - floral and pale ale like hoppy with some vanilla. First you taste the creamy malts then there is a quick transition to the hops. This beer is about the hops. Brooklyn's lager then finishes with a very mild tanginess. This beer tastes just like it smells. Great. Overall I find this beer is bright and crisp on the palate. The good amount of carbonation helps. An all around excellent choice with any foods and in any company. If you like lagers with a good hops and malt flavor you will not be let down by Brooklyn as this is one sharp beer.
