This election cycle has resulted in more people voting in primaries and caucuses than in any prior Presidential election year. A large portion of the electorate this year is represented by boomers. The older group of boomers, those 60 years old and up, have a new perspective on politics.
Boomers have a history of being active in politics going back 40 or more years. Not much has changed. In fact boomers are now more engaged than possibly even in the turbulent 1960's. I know, I was there but not nearly as involved as I am so this year, 2008. Boomers have the opportunity to impact the results of the presidential election in 2008. Boomers vote at a rate only eclipsed by the World War ll generation. That generation is not as relevant simply because they are aging and there are but 3 million or so World War ll Vets left. Therefore, if you are a senior/boomer and want to be heard, go out and get involved. Do something to really change our nation for the good. Barack Obama is the young man at 46 years old to do that good.............. Comments, opinions................
