Baby Boomers also known as "empty nesters" have been looking to move, in record numbers, to retirement communities in areas that have been cultivating that demographic. Retirement Communities typically offer smaller one level living in planned communities with many amenities. Golf Courses, Tennis, Swimming, Club Houses etc. provide the allure that many boomers are seeking. Florida, Arizona and California have been ahead of the curve for several decades as areas of first choice for retirees. This is changing as States such as Wyoming, Oregon, South Carolina, Idaho, Montana and yes even the Dakota's are seeing newly retired individuals becoming new State residents in smaller towns catering to this demographic. So, if you are a boomer or not take a look at the options available as retirement becomes the major "Blip" on your redar screen.
