Baby Boomers have disposable income and are beginning to exercise that advantage in how they use their purchasing power. Home stores like Lowe's, Home Depot, Costco, BJ's etc. are very aware of Boomers purchasing power. Those retailers want to capture that market and have provided new discounts and special shopping opportunities for the Boomer generation. Hannaford food stores have made Tuesday's "discount" day for shoppers 55 and over. Big Box Stores like Target and Kohl's have made similar accomodations for the Boomer Generation. What some boomers have neglected to take advantage of is using their designation of "Senior" as an advantage. Some Boomers have vanity on their minds and have lost savings opportunities because they do not want to disclose their age, how silly is that! So, Baby Boomers should find out the many advantages that are available to them as they turn 50, 55, 60 and so on................
