Europe has always been a popular travel destination for Baby Boomers. However, the "Dollars" value against the "Euro", as of today March 17 the value of a dollar to the Euro was $1.509, has cut into the European travel industry as a venue for Baby Boomers. Typical cities like Paris, Rome, Stockholm and Berlin have suddenly turned into very expensive places to venture for Boomers. The Dollars value will most likely remain significantly low to the Euro for the forseeable future. Other travel destinations have suddenly become a much better deal for Boomers. Boomers may want to try South East Asia as a good value and a beautiful place to visit. The Canadian dollar is about equal to the American dollar, so Canada is a destination of choice for travelers, including boomers. If it were not for the price of gas in the United States "Baby Boomers" could travel to some of the most beautiful places in the world, right here in the United States. Boomer vacations will be more frequent, of shorter duration and closer to home. It makes sense given the cost of travel period!
