Baby Boomers should contact their "Travel Agent" prior to booking any trips. This includes air fares, train fares, Ski weeends, Golf vacations and just about any form of travel. Doing a little "homework" will save money. I think most boomers who like to vacation would like to save a few bucks. AARP discounts are usually available for car rentals, hotels/motels, dining and in some cases using services like travel insurance and dog boarding. By not doing a little "due diligence" most travelers spend 10-25% more than necessary. I never book a motel without getting a senior type discount. The same can be said for any car rental I have made over the last several years. Golfers especially have senior packages available in places like Myrtle Beach South Carolina. Golfing all day, carts usually not included, plus breakfast and or lunches for "Seniors" at discount fees are common at most motels and golf courses. Well, when traveling do not underestimate the benefit of a travel agent and some research........
