It is very easy to prevent a "Cached" link from appearing on your website's natural search listing with NOARCHIVE.

Between the HEAD section of your html simply place this code:

<META NAME="ROBOTS" CONTENT="NOARCHIVE">

This code prevents the cached link from appearing on major search engines, telling them you do not wish your site to be archived for anyone else to view, except through your url.

This does not prevent a search engine from actually caching your page, it simply does not allow the page to be viewed on their cache servers.

A method like this is useful for ensuring that your current pages will be the only one a visitor can see. Old versions will not be available for anyone to look at.
