When you're looking for kitchen cabinets, Home Depot is a great place to start. Home Depot has a nice selection of hardwood kitchen cabinets in sandalwood maple and other styles which are built well and affordable. These wood shades are very versatile and would work well in most settings. Updating your cabinets in your kitchen can do so much towards getting a new look and feel going, however most people think that remodeling their kitchen has to cost fortune. Home Depot generally has pretty low prices, and occasionally, you can find discount kitchen cabinets if you hit it right.

These Home Depot kitchen cabinets are made out of sandalwood and feature stains in maple and other shades. To go for a warm wooden shade in the kitchen is definitely a great choice if you want something that will stand up to many years of use and that you won't get sick of too quickly and easily. These kitchen cabinets are durable, and perfect if you want a practical standard kitchen without a lot of fuzz. When picking these products out you can go for both the base and wall cabinets, or you could for instance just buy the base cabinets and then use shelving for the walls, either way would be possible. The price of these wall kitchen cabinets and floor kitchen cabinets is relatively low, so if you're on a budget, then these kitchen pieces would certainly be worth to check out.

Overall it can definitely be worth it to check out home improvement stores such as this one but also Lowes and why not IKEA if you're in the mood to do some remodeling, but you don't want to spend a fortune.

American Classics is one of the brands of kitchen cabinets that Home Depot offer. This is how they describe this brand:

Selected finishes are available in your local store as shown. Or, you can have cabinets in todays popular finishes delivered right to your home in two weeks. Name: DGT General Contractors | Comment: These cabinets are supposedly a Home Depot "exclusive." What they really are is absolute junk - thin particle board and masonite construction, no corner blocking, etc.

We had a client order a full kitchen of these (we warned them of our concerns, but Home Depot assured them and us that they were plywood sides - which, after the delivery, they insisted were "MDF" and veneer - in any event, they are neither, they are particle board and masonite/fiberboard with "wood look" paper finish), and when they arrived at the site (4 weeks late to boot), even the delivery people admitted they looked like cheap junk. Obviously, it goes without saying that I would never suggest these or participate in the ordering of them. And as an ethical GC, I would not even install these cabinets unless it was with a complete waiver from a knowledgeable client (for example, as a "got 'em on a deal/make do" in a tight numbers rental property situation or the like) and I certainly would not even consider it under any circumstances with the average "homeowner" client. To do so would be continuing the fraud in calling these things "quality cabinets." I would certainly warn any client about ordering these things.

I took a quick look around the company website, and I noted that I could not find ANY details as to the materials used in the carcasses, face frames, doors and drawer fronts, etc. only that the drawer boxes were "hardwood."

The bottom line is that these are not suitable for any job I can imagine at anything approaching "retail" pricing, as there are better-quality "economy" cabinets available. To spend nearly $4000.00 - cabinets only - on a fairly simple two-wall galley kitchen, as my client did, on this junk is simply ripping people off. In my professional opinion, Home Depot ought to be ashamed of itself for selling these and we would not want our name associated with any "normal" job in which this product was used.

Name: Classic Junk | Comment: I ordered an entire kitchen of American classics. What a mistake. It took nearly three months to get most of the poor quality crap replaced and at that point the factory gave up. Poor service from the sales people, to customer service, and upper management all the way up to the assistant to the president. No consistancy in cabinet color, poor workmanship, terrible packaging, inferior finish, mixed masterial for crown molding (some veneer, some wood, sale people do not even know what they ship). Buyer beware.
