Working on the Kitchen - Painting & Removing Backsplash

Today we started working for real on the kitchen: removing the linoleum backsplash and painting cabinets, shelves and drawers.

To protect our new fridge and the stove, we covered them in plastic - since we're going to put in a new floor as well as countertops, we didn't care about protecting them.

Yesterday we painted the ceiling white (which previously was green.) The go-on-pink-dry-white paint worked really well. The picture above is actually before the ceiling was painted - now it's white!

Here we have the linoleum backsplash (you can also see our old and new kitchen hardware side by side on the drawers!)

Backsplash removed!
