Tiny Garden Growing Progress

So, my little garden is coming along. I just love peaking at it each day and see if anything new has come up. If I'm getting this excited about my two litte boxes and pots, then I can imagine it would be beyond fun to have a large garden full of different plants to tend to.

This was about one week ago:

You can't really see too well from this picture, but I scribbled down what grows in what row on the side: arugula and radishes below.

It seems like the radishes are the first ones to peak out.

Now these pictures were taken yesterday, about a week later. Progress, wouldn't you say! And those weird greens coming up to the left are supposed to be spinach, but that sure doesn't look like spinach to me!

I also scored some more claypots for a dollar each (I look at every thrift store nowadays for more!) which I planted tomato plants in. I should probably get some cages for those though...

And here you have it. My little garden as of May 6th.

One of the first things I do everyday is go outside just to check out what has grown, what needs some attention, water, etc. It's almost like having a second child at this point! ha. I find it so fun to watch, especially the fast-growing crops, change literally day by day.

Sun May 06, 2012 11:44 amI know, isn't it so much fun! I should really get some hops growing, because I've seen hops plants almost grow an inch or so a day here in this climate... That would entertain me for some time!
