The Starting Point

This is what our house looked like when we bought it; our starting point, the soon-to-be "before" pictures. It's an older home built in the 40s and just like homes built in that time period, it seems to be constructed well. There are carpets in the living room and dining room, with wood floors underneath. The previous owners apparently liked beige and brown accents, since that are the main colors here, with some light green in the kitchen and light blue in the bathroom. Most of the windows are brand new which is great and all we need to do in that department is to get some additional screens for a few of them.

So overall we have lots of beige, a terrible carpet, nice floors in the bedrooms and underneath the carpet, nice windows and charming accents. Let's see what we can turn this into.
