So Far This Summer….

- We've been working outside a lot, and it's been nice.

- Our red & white gingham tablecloth has gotten a workout!

- We've been making tons of fires in the backyard.

- Burnt marshmallows never tasted quite this good.

- Avocados have been on my list each time I visit the grocery store.

- We've been keeping Vietnamese iced coffee in the fridge almost religiously.

- And making tons of iced tea. Floral black tea, some sugar, lemon and mint leaves, and you've got the perfect blend.

- I have completely fallen in love with the concept of homemade fast food.

- I've been picking cherries on more than a few instances.

- No-knead bread has outcompeted all of my other baking projects.

- Breakfast has consisted simply of Greek yogurt, fresh berries & nuts.

- I have returned with an empty wallet and more seedlings, lettuce and berries than I can comfortably carry each time I've visited the Farmer's Market.

- We can't seem to get enough watermelon.

- I've discovered how addictive and fun it is to garden and look after my seedlings.

- And we've finally taken advantage of our front porch. Dinner, a beer at night, a book in the afternoon...
