Every since we moved into the house we've gotten into the nice habbit of enjoying a pot of French press coffee every morning. We've had our glass French press for many years and it's been reliable for a long time. Until a few days ago that is, when the glass carafe suddenly broke as I was washing dishes. Well, first we were thinking of just getting a new glass carafe, since they are easy to come by and pretty cheap. However, then we remembered a really nice insulated French press we saw in the cooking store a while back. And since coffee in a regular glass French press does tend to get cold relatively quickly, this did seem like a nice upgrade.

our old press, with the glass carafe missing!

So, off we went and bought one of these insulated French presses to get our morning coffee routine back on track.

And, it is gorgeous. Absolutely, positively gorgeous. Sturdy, durable, well made, elegant and practical. All good words in one grammatically incorrect sentence.

So, ever since our new purchase, this is what our mornings look like. And best of all; you don't have to drink it right away since it stays warm for at least an hour and probably longer...

Name: Frank Comment: What Brand/Make? I recently bought a Nissan/Thermos press but unfortunately the top is not insulated so it cools down nearly as fast as my glass one. I had hoped it would work as well as my thermos bottle of the same make which I use for soups and coffee for cold weather sports. It holds the heat for hours.
