New Crate & Barrel Silverware & Plates

For quite some time now we have wanted to get some new plates and silverware as our old ones were rather dingy and sad looking. The other day we payed a visit to Crate and Barrel and came home with this sparkling set of silverware as well as clean, simple white plates.

It has been hard to find acceptible silverware: something without any ornate carvings or weird, sharp edges. It's amazing that most knives and forks out there are more decorative than simple, so if you want a very basic design you will have a tougher time finding it, than if you want a more edgy contemporary or decorative traditional design.

We love these plates. They are rather thin and don't have any edges or decorations.

So we were happy to come accross this set of knives, forks and spoons. Clean and simple - and nice with a larger set!

Makes for a rather nice plate setting.
