More Time Spent Sanding and Getting Frustrated with Sawdust

Sanding, sanding, sanding. We must have inhaled a substantial amount of sawdust, even though we're wearing masks. And although it's hard, annoying work and our bodies ache a bit more than usual, it's fun working on all of this, and we're making progress. Though we hate the large sander we rented with a passion. It's nothing but annoying, and often the small belt sander and palm sander which we picked up work just as good (and sometimes better), even though they require a bit more effort.

Last night we made a wood filler mixing sawdust with regular glue which we applied in nail holes to make the floors smooth. This morning, we sanded down these areas further, and it looks good.

Tonight was another pretty long night, we didn't stay working until 1 pm, instead we stayed until around 11. Enough is enough, and we are almost done with the sanding. We just need to go over most of the areas with a finer sander, so we hope to do that tomorrow, and start on the mineral oil - sealant - polyurethane process.

The floors are looking good. Our bodies are tired. We have sawdust inside and out. It was a good, productive day.
