Kitchen Love & Favorite Projects

I'm so excited that our stainless steel kitchen countertops are featured at YoungHouseLove today, thanks Sherry & John! So to welcome new readers and introduce you to our little house I wanted to take a moment and show you some of my favorite projects we've done around here:

First up, here are some additional thoughts on stainless steel counters, in other words: why I love them so much!

I also love our marble and granite floor in the kitchen! Here is an in-depth post on how we installed them: Installing Diagonal Black & White Granite & Marble Floor

Another thing I'm thrilled about is the way our built-in bookcases came out. Some of you might recognize these since they also were featured on YoungHouseLove a while back: Reader Redesign - Don't Built-Ins Rock?

These built-in bookcases took us a while to put in and they really transformed the living room.

I also want to include My First Quilt in this list because I'm ridiculously proud and happy over the way it turned out (if you ever contemplated making your own quilt, you should get started right away because it's more fun than I ever imagined possible!

Gardening has been on my mind lately, and we just built this Elevated Raised Gardening Bed which I filled with plants the other day. Gardening is proving way addictive!

So there you have a short introduction of projects. If you're interested in the kitchen remodel, then all the kitchen related posts are gathered here: The Home Project Kitchen. There are lots of more projects though, so look around, take your time.

Feel free to subscribe to the Home Project feed.

I'm so glad You found your way here!

Name: Andrew Comment: I just linked over from YHL, and read through your blog! I am very excited about the Sweden connection. This summer, my brother, sister-in-law and nieces are visiting from Sodertalje, Sweden!

I look forward to hearing about your future updates!

Thu May 31, 2012 2:11 pmHi Andrew, welcome. Södertälje is not that far from where I grew up. I'm sure they'll have a wonderful time visiting! There will be plenty of more Sweden-related posts coming up in the near future on the blog since I was just there and have so many things to share!
