I haven't really shown how much the garden has grown lately. But it has grown... grown like crazy.

We made another box for the front, a two level one, and we made a logo for it as well. In this box I have a tomato plant, a tomatillo plant (which has grown very fast), a black pepper plant, tarragon, sage and a couple of different flowers.
The main box (compare to about a month ago when it was first planted!) feels almost a touch overgrown. As in, I should probably transplant some things into a new box. Here we have red chard, fennel, broccoli, pepper, eggplant, zucchini, thyme, parsley, basil and some flowers.
The broccoli plants are doing very well! We have little broccoli shoots coming (yay!)
And the squash plant is taking over half the box it seems like. That's fine; as long as you produce something edible, you can spread out all you want!
Also, I've been working on the little patch of dirt to the right of the stairs leading up to the house. There I have a small lavender bush, a small rosemary bush, an artichoke plant that I'm hoping is going to do a little better as well as hops. And I got a blueberry bush!
The other day I got more strawberry seedlings at the farmer's market to create a nice little border.
The hops are doing quite well, climbing a little higher every day...
Since this spot is getting some, but not a massive amount of sun, I was a little worried that the blueberry bush wasn't going to do too well. However, it's growing quite nicely and I'm seeing quite a few new shoots and blueberries on it.
I also got a rhubarb plant at the local nursery. Dear rhubarb plant, please grow strong and big and spread out. And please give me lots of rhubarb for the coming years!
I like the way the strawberries are looking here. I'm not hoping for a massive harvest or anything, but a few fresh strawberries would be nice.
Also on the front steps I have some herbs in pots. The cilantro in the front isn't looking so good, but that's because I've been taking a lot from it. Maybe I should plant some fresh cilantro as well though...
My other boxes on the backside are also doing quite well. I love this salad seed mix. I've already cut it down four times and it keeps coming up! I also took out my last radishes, gave the box some more dirt and planted new ones. It's just so nice to have a little bit of lettuce and radishes growing right outside the kitchen, I'm thinking I would like some more boxes dedicated to just that.
So overall I'm loving our little garden. It's growing quite nicely, and I'm having a lot more fun than I would have thought checking out the progress and enjoying a small (but existing!) harvest of lettuce, radishes and herbs at this point.
