So, remember how I wanted to start sewing those dining room window curtains? Well, I finally got around to it!

that ceiling fixture definitely needs to be replaced!

I had chosen white linen, mainly because it's light and airy and doesn't block too much light. Not to mention I love linen overall; if any it's my favorite fabric. I sewed loops in the same fabric, so as to not use metal rings, and I added a wooden button on each loop. However I still thought the drapes were a bit bland, so I decided to add stripes of a darker linen fabric. I also added a darker linen section below, but that was actually because they were a tad too short once they were done!

I love them! So nice looking, but still not boring. Definitely a touch of beach cottage feel to them. I'm planning on writing a longer tutorial on this with all the steps, so more on this later!
